To a generation that doesn't know what this is.... Inca was known for making very well made and highly accurate woodworking machines. They were small for small shops but capable of doing most things that a hobbiest woodworker or one off furniture maker would ever want to do. Advantages of a tilt table is superior accuracy, gravity in your favor, and the elimination of crap and coffee cups and paint cans piling up on the table top. There are forums of fans and Inca nerds for these tools to this day. If no one bites here I would suggest that the poster hunt down one of those sites. To someone that is looking for a good quality saw with a small footprint this saw should be something to consider. This one looks well maintained. I think the price for this machine is high but I've seen them go for much more than this asking price. Downside is parts ,they mostly exist in France or something..
Thanks pantalones, for confirming the quality of this tool. I've posted on the Inca io group, also reaching out to local woodshops. It will run forever so hopefully will find a new home soon.
Inca was a Swiss company wasn't it? If it was local I'd consider it as they hardly ever show up anymore.
Yes, I even have the catalog, from the 80's. I think they closed up in the early 2000's.
Yes, Inca was Swiss made. A while back I was considering buying an Inca planer. It has a sacrificial gear... if you ever have a jamb or something the nylon gear disintegrates saving the machine from damage ,its a plan. You need to have spares. In looking for that part where I found it was in France. There are companies there that refurbish and sell Inca machines. That is why I said France.
If this was within a 2 hour drive of my home (FL) I would take it in a heartbeat! Someone is going to be very happy with this saw.
