Goodmorning fellow Woodchucks,
I am currently looking at purchasing the Incra router jig for making dovetails & etc. The reason I am writing is there is so much advertising noise for many products claiming to be the best. I was just looking for someone who owns the jig to let me know their opinions whether positive or negative. I am interested in the Incra jig because of the ease of set-up,versitillity of joinery, and the price. Please let me know about your thoughts. Thanks. Keep the wood flying.

Ken,
I would not describe the Incra jig as easy to set up or a bargain. I would agree that it is versitile. When considering jigs you generally get ease of use OR versitility. Versitile jigs have adjustable fingers that must be set up, then a test cut is usually necessary to "make sure". Jigs like the Porter Cable are not adjustable (less versitile) but they are very simple to use , changing the pattern is a s easy as switching the template, and they cost a lot less.
