I am in the market for a new rip fence for my 10″/12″ table saw. For the past 10 years I have used an Excalibur rip fence which I never really liked as it is difficult to set exactly where you want it. I have had some experience with a Biesemeyer which I like for its smooth action and stout robustness. However, I am considering the Incra TS-3 rip fence because of the ability to fine tune a setting and repeatability. It looks as if it is not as sturdy as the Biesemeyer and you need to tighten 4 knobs to lock it in place. While it is easy to find woodworkers who own a Biesemeyer, and love them, the number of Incra rip fence owners seems to be small. Maybe that should tell me something. I would most like some feed-back from Incra rip fence owners, pro and con, but would appreciate any input from other fence owners.
Thank you, Dogbench

Dear Mr. Bench,
You're right; there's not too much out there about the Incra. Given the reputation of the company, I would assume it's well engineered and very accurate. However, to me it looks rather light. Don't think I'd want to knock it too many times with 8/4 oak. Have you looked at the HTC? It has micro adjustment. Someone makes an add-on micro adjuster for the Biesmeyer, but I can't recall who.
