Wouldn’t it be nice if you could refer to an index of the articles presented in all the magazines 1-today? Just an index posted on Knots or some place that would be easy? Think we should ask FWW?

The online index available on this site is hopelessly inadequate and in need of a complete overhaul.
1) Some stuff is indexed under specific keywords but not their more generic equivalents (for example, there are 40 entries under Knives, and two under Knives, marking, but the two marking knife entries aren't also indexed under Knives). There's even an entry under knives (lowercase "k") that's separate from the others.
2) Many author's names appear two or more times in the index, with varying spellings, abbreviations, presence or lack of punctuation, etc.
3) There's an article on page 76 of issue 80 on making etrog boxes. If you look at the entries under Boxes, you get a list of various kinds of boxes, but is there a subitem under etrog? No, but there's one under silver-filigreed etrog!
I could go on and on....

Attached is an Excel file for all issues through July 2006. This file was originally available from the Badger Pond site, defunct for many years now. I have kept it more or less up to date (at least through July 2006) and made numerous corrections. Using Excel's search feature you can look for any word or string.
thank you Ben this will be really helpful. having all the magazines and an idex from the early years makes finding things a little frustrating. this will help immensely.
