I am seeking advice on light industrial jointers. I am in the process of setting up shop and need a stand alone, long bed Jointer; 96 to 110” bed length, 16 inch width. Something in the $5 to $7K region used. So I am looking for what holds up well under factory usage conditions as that is where something of this sort might have been. I have been impressed in the past with the some of the Italian equipment, but would like to know how it holds up under usage.

Don't think you will have any problems with most brands. Used to be a tech for a dealer and we sold quite a few minimax 16" and they stayed perfectly set up from the trip overseas until the install. Another option is the Invicta USA. Good price and they made the bigger stuff for Delta in the past. Also consider buying an older model. Price wise you could afford to put a Byrd shelix head and still come out cheaper than buying new. http://www.exfactory.com.
