Going to my first woodworking show in Indy in Jan. Do you generally find good deals at these shows on equipment?

There is usually a few sale items avalible but I haven't found any great deals. You do get a chance to see a lot of different equipment and at least touch some of them. I go to the one in Columbus every year (Jan 12-13-14 in 2007). I would sugest you set aside two days at least. Go the first day, look around, watch the demos, attend the free seminars, make a list of what you want to buy, then go home rethink the list, and research the items you picked. Then go back and make your purchases, attend more free seminars, and look around some more. Meet a lot of new people, talk wood working and enjoy yourself.

I go to the one in Columbus, OH every year. It's where I pick up my sandpaper and other shop consumables. It's also nice seeing the latest and greatest in the woodworking industry.
