What exactly do you have in mind?
Here is a new book by Bob Lang on the inlays Stickley (and Harvey Ellis) used in his furniture:

I want to try my hand at making some banding of various types. I have made some that worked out well, but struggle with techniques to produce the various patterns that I have seen on items of old furniture.
I haven't been able to find much in print. The main resource seems to be R. F. Loeffler's Step by Step Inlay Banding and Production ISBN 0-9632387-3-6. I had a hard time finding a used copy but eventually I found one through the internet. The booklet appears self published and contains about 130 pages. Much of the book discusses fixtures and materials rather then designs but does contain some unique patterns which will get your creative juices going.
You mentioned that you have already made some so the following items may cover designs you already know.
American Furniture of the 18th Century Jeffery P. Green Taunton Press ISBN 1-56158-104-6 Page170 - 171 gives a example of roping, herringbone and checkered patterns and how they are created
Fine Woodworking March 1987 (this article is also contained in Fine Woodworking on Marquetry and Veneer ISBN 0-918804-74-4 has a short article along with a few examples.
This last summer I took a short leg and carving course at Phil Lowe's Furniture Institute of Massachusetts. The course itself was taught by Will Neptune and we used some simple banding but Phil was there and showed us some inlay that he was working on that was an elaborate pattern. I don't want to pretend that I could run out and reproduce what Phil created but when he showed use some of the technique a few light bulbs went of in my head. I did mention to Phil that there is really no place I know of that you can learn some of the techniques and designs. I'm hoping that he considers maybe giving a short course on this during the next year.
If you find anything else that is available give a quick posting update as I would also be interested in what you may be able to find.
Thank you for your help on this! I am interested in trying to find the publications that you mentioned and will look for them right away. I will share with you any additional information that I find.
This is the first time that I have asked a question on "Knots" (or on any forum for that matter) and very much appreciate your response.

Peter,
Thank you for your help. I am interested in trying to figure out how some of the inlay banding patterns are made and it sounds as if this is a great source for doing that. I appreciate your response.
