Hi,
I am new to woodworking and do it yourself. I am looking for information. I saw a demonstration on one of the TV tools or do it yourself shows that showed a new type of circular saw theat had 2 blades. The blades went in opposite directions. It provided a very clean cut. Looked like it would make tear out very unlikely. But I can’t remember what it was called or who made it. I don’t even remember where I saw it. Does anybody remember seeing this or know where to get information about this?

Are you talking about a table saw? If you are this is not innovative. It's called a scoring blade. Cuts .5 - 1mm through the veneer just minutely wider than the main blade. Eliminates chipping on tough materials like melamine. Been around for decades.
If it's hand held, sort of about the size of an angle grinder, it is the Craftsman Twin Cutter, found at Sears.

The review I read considered it more a carpenters tool than a furniture makers tool.
A scoring saw is probably what you saw, both the main blade and the small scoring blade turn in the same direction. On some tablesaws a scoring blade attachment , driven with a belt and pulley can be installed.I saw one at a small shop in Virginia two years ago. The owner used to pass a panel over the blade set at 1/8", then raise the blade for a full cut and make the next pass.A lot of time wasted if you are a professional shop.
