My wife and I are travelling up to Stowe, VT next week. Any interesting woodworking stops in the area? We’ll be there for three full days although one of the days we’ll be dogsledding. Any tips would be appreciated. Oh yeah…. Driving up from central Jersey.

Hi, I'm leaving stowe on Sunday. Dislocated my shoulder and cracked the top of my humerous bone on wed. Two suggestions, visit the stowe ski museum and ask as there are a ton of woodworkers and carvers in the area. Also and probably the best source would be the Stowe Barber Shop. Ask Regina, she knows about everyone in Stowe and also gives a great haircut. There is a carving of ????? crs just set in. He is an the old time barber who is now a part timer. You could also visit the blacksmith shop, reminded me of the one in my neighborhood when I was a kid. If you see an old guy on a board (75), was with me when i took my header ,he is a woodworker too. Enjoy the area its a great mt and lots of good restaurants.
