Any recommendations for a good site on the internet for cherry? From what I gather, shipping is almost as expensive as the wood itself…
Many thanks for your comments.

Try Hearne Hardwoods in Oxford, Pa. They have the very best Pennsylvania cherry I've ever seen and they do a huge amount of shipping. Steve
Thanks for the pointer. Will give them a look.Best, Bob
I like Steve Wall lumber in NC. I have found that even with shipping, I get better wood at about the same cost as local cherry.
Also Groff & Groff in Pennsylvania by phone or fax, not internet, if you want something special. High quality, flat and straight.
Many thanks. Will check in to both.Best, Bob
ShopNotes this issue (86) has an article on MailOrder lumber and some suppliers - most seem to have internet sites.
It also has a nice project for making a thickness sander and using the TS for the drive.
Way cool. Thanks for your reply!Best, Bob
