Hi all,
Thanks to the advice from many of you, I tuned my recently-purchased Ridgid 14″ BS (w/ riser block) according to Michael Fortune’s article in FWW 173, and used the “flutter method” (thanks, FG) for tensioning the TimberWolf blade.
After all of that, I’ve noticed that the blade rides slightly to the right of the insert, and there is more room between the left guides and the blade than there is on the right.
Is this merely a function of the blade being rounded and having a natural tendency to follow its natural curve, or do I have a problem?
Thanks in advance for your help. Best regards,
Mitch

I guess the answer lies in wether it cuts straight now or not. If it does, I would tend to believe that its not going to make a big difference. Unless there is a definite twist in the guide block guard or it is visibly bent then the only thing it might affect is your use of a zero clearance insert. You could get around that by dropping it in after you slide it onto the blade.
