I modeled a Serving Cart based on T. Frid’s design in his Book 3 (pages 108 – 120). I noticed that I did not do the tenons, mortises like T. Frid and I left out a groove and tongue. T. Frid shows slip tenons and the rails and trays fit together with tongue and groove joinery. The screen shot shows what I sketched. Is it strong enough to hold the tray with just glue or does it need more?

Does it need more? In the short-term, no. In the long-term, yes. If you're planning on keeping it forever, I'd prolly build it the way Tage Frid designed it.
Thank you, Elmaduro. That's what I'm going to do, and it stays true to the design.
Here's the screenshot with the changes.
I often find myself starting a question "Should I do . . . "
The answer is always yes, but I'm trying to wriggle out of it.
Answers are different if you're doing this to make a living. But I mostly make stuff for myself, family, and friends. We all deserve the extra mile.
