Issues with Freud Stacked Slot Cutter bit p/n 61-102
So, I’ve purchase two separate Freud stacked slot cutter bits (they go together like a stacked dado blade,) and both sets seem to have a manufacturing flaw. I’m curious if anyone else has experienced the problem I have with both sets. Two separate vendors, same problem.
The arbor hole on the 1/8″ cutter is REALLY tight, almost impossible to get off the shaft, and so far, once I got that cutter on the first set off, I can’t get it lined up just “perfect” so I can work it back down the shaft. I just got the second set and same problem with the same sized cutter. It’s as if the milling setup for that cutter is simply too tight. I stopped short of “pulling” the cutter off the second set with a pair of channel locks (what I did with the first set.) But now, the cutter on the second set is hung up and won’t move up or down the shaft without force.
Anyone else?
I worked a bit on the first one with a rat-tail file, but don’t want to get too carried away and possibly loose the “circle” of the OEM arbor hole. Any other ideas about how to work this out?
Any and all comments/thoughts appreciated.

Problem solved. A piece of 1/4" doweling and some 180 grit emory cloth wrapped around the dowel... n a bit of elbow grease. Shoulda thought of that to begin with. A touch of wax on the arbor too. Had to have been .001" or less.
