James Krenov Pearwood cabinet-on-stand
I am planning to biuld a desk for my daughter and I was impressed by the beauty and elegance of the legs on the James Krenov Pearwood cabinet -on a -stand
Question can anyone piont me towards plans for legs of a similar design
(The Pearwood-cabinet on a- stand is pictured within the gallery of James Krenov work on the Finewoodworking home page)

I think plans would be antithetical to the Krenov’s way of working. Read any of his books, he seems to not even draw much before he starts to work. Personally, I like that way of doing things
You're right on the money there. Krenov would look at a piece of wood, study the grain, see if there was a leg in there and then shape it by eye until it looked right. On any given piece of furniture he creates one could be easily decieved into thinking there are any two legs that matched.
ted, i have seen an article where krenov was making full size card board mock-ups to gain a sense of scale and proportion with his students which i found very interesting. i agree with you however, on how he lets the wood guide his work. gs.
Thank you to everyone for your replies

Before you make a Krenov inspired piece you simply must read his book The Fine Art of Cabinetmaking.
Thanks for that regards Charnwood
