I have had the Jet 13" planer / moulder for just over two years. I've been very happy with it. I use it on a regular basis, and haven't had any problems with it. You need some sort of dust collection system with it if you leave the collection hood attached.
The moulding knives are not cheap. You would have to run several lineal feet of moulding to make it worth the price of the knives.
I also have the Jet 13" planer and have been very happy with it. However, I will be selling it soon to make room for a larger planer. I need at least a 20" to 24" planer to handle the wide walnut that we recently milled.

I've had the 13" planer-molder about 4 years now. Does an excellent job, I just put an ad in the paper to sell it. I inherited several large machine tools, one being a 20" planer and 3hp shaper, otherwise I would keep it.Sold the molding knives this morning, probably the planer tomorrow.

I own a Jet PLaner/Molder. I think is a JTK-13. It's provien to be a fine machine. If you set it up carefully, and add an outfeed table that's parallel to it's own feed table, you'll get a very nice finish with nearly zero snipe.
