Has anyone seen the new Jet 20″ Bandsaw? I’ve heard they’re going to be around $1,600 at Woodcraft.
Specs are not yet available on the Jet website.

I'm waiting for it, there is also supposed to be a new 16". I wrote to Jet but didn't get any response.

When I was over at DSC the other day, I asked about the new Jet bandsaws and they've sold every one they've gotten in. Evidently, the design of the upper part is different, and has yielded a rock-steady saw -- the lack of vibration was remarkable according to the guys there. Since they're sold out, I've not seen one yet. Maybe next time. Sounded well worth waiting for.forestgirl -- you can take the girl out of the forest, but you can't take the forest out of the girl ;-)
Stopped into the local (Pittsburgh) Woodcraft and asked about it. They didn't know it was yet available, but computer did show it in stock. Said price would be $1,825. I mentioned I had heard on discussion groups that it would be around $1,600; he repeated, $1,825.
Did confirm the upper wheel assembly has been redesigned, and it runs smoother and quieter than the 18" model.
