Jet Left Tilt Splitter from Biesemeyer
Has anyone had expereince with the Biesmeyer Quick change splitter. I have a Jet JTAS-10 Left Tilt table saw. I want to find a distributor who handles the splitter.
Also would like to know if someone out there has one and can tell me if thery think it’s worth the money.

I have the Jet right tilt and installed the splitter. I think it is highly overpriced, but--If that is the only way I will use a splitter on a consistent basis, then it is worth spending the money. I think you have to be the judge if it is worth the cost based on your safety habits.
Where did you get the splitter. In Chicago area there are few dealers who handle them.
I have one and agree that it's on the spendy side but it works great and is easy to R&R. I didn't like the pawls so I cut them off. I use a zero clearance insert, finger board and push blocks as well as an Excalibur overarm guard so I don't feel my saftey is compromised at all.

Thaks for your help. The Mike's tools had just waht I needed. At woodcentral.com there is a great posting on how to modify the splitter to use the old blade guard from the table saw. http://www.mv.com/users/besposito/woodworking/biespliter.html
I wish the OLM would get with it and make the splitters and guards more usable and practical.
Glad to be of help and to help support Mike. He's a great guy that runs a very customer focused one man shop. He even got authorized for service by Delta so he could follow through for his customers. That retrofit looks pretty good, but the Excalibur dust collection is tough to beat. I also recommend the roller outfield table sold by Jet but I think they get it from HTC. In either event it's been worth every penny.John O'Connell - JKO Handcrafted Woodworking

I had to look the part number since there are a several of them for different saws, then bought it locally from a place called The Cutting Edge, http://WWW.cuttingedgetools.com in Houston. You can call, 713-981-9228, or, if there is a Woodcraft in your area they should be able to order it.
