My question concerns adjusting the fence parallel to miter slot. I replaced the set screws with 3/16 x 18 x 1/2″ hex caps. This way I can use a wrench from the front to adjust the fence without turning it over. My problem now is that at certain measurments the heads of the screws are hitting the bolts which attach the rail to the saw. So, is there something else I can use ? I tried to find a 3/16 x 18 x 3/8 hex cap, but no stores in my area has them. Any advice would be appreciated.
Thanks

It should only take five minutes maybe once or twice a year to make the adjustment using the original screws, why bother with changing them out?
