Well that looks simple enough, to steal!

My father had a furniture repair business at one time, and I worked with him for a while. We use similar jigs to clamp pie crust table legs to the pedestal, or any piece of furniture that you needed to get a clamp purchase on, that didn't have a flat area. An old trick, but a good one.
