I have been asked by a friend to make a jigsaw puzzle from a favorite picture. I plan to use multi-ply plywood, probably 1/4″. The question I have is the glue. What would work best?

Craft stores carry exactly the glue your looking for. Per my Wife, She says Joann Fabrics and Michaels' carries it.

I guess it would be too easy to assume it is labeled "jig saw puzzel glue".
I had thought of using yellow glue and setting it with a warm iron, like I did when I made the tambours for a roll top desk. I had also thought about sealing the ply with a coat of poly, then using a good coat of spray adhesive. Also thought about formica contact cement, but I wonder if that will stay rubbery."Put your creed in your deed." Emerson

Years ago FWW did an article on making jigsaw puzzles and I believe the author used standard yellow glue to attach the photo. Another possibility would be to take the plywood and photo to a framing (art) shop and pay them to mount the photo using their dry mount press.
