I can’t seem to find my long time favorite wax anywhere. Anyone know why it seems to be so hard to find?

It could be the solvents in the wax. Many states are requiring low VOC products on the store shelves.
Johnson Paste Wax is available from Amazon.com. JQL//
Amazon can be a source. Here in California (the wierdo magnet of the nation . . . thanks for sending us all your goofballs by the way) the JPW formula changed years ago. The wax is now greenish. I use the current formula for machines and dole out my remaining tan JPW for furniture.
I used to buy Johnson's Paste Wax at HD. But, they switched up brands on me.
I've found Butcher's Bowling Alley wax there, and it works just as well for my purposes.
TreWax is really good paste wax. Its sold often for hardwood floors. Minwax makes paste wax also.

I used to work with a guy from New Zealand who had also worked in CA (among other parts of the world) before coming to the midwest. His comment was, "I'm glad that most of the people that really want to live in California really do."
It's a burden. Folks think Los Angeles and San Francisco are California. It's like judging New York state by New York city. I know several multi-generational Californians who have given it up as a lost cause and headed for saner pastures ;-)
Hold on... there's more to NY outside of the city??? My map has monsters and giant whirlpools. I'm pretty sure "Staten Island" is just folklore.
