need advice on shortening bedrails on a full size bed.i would like to convert the bed to a small sofa,and i have heard of folks cutting down bedrails,but i don’t know exactly what that means.if there is another method of joining the headboard and footboard,please,i welcome any and all suggestions.thanks in advance.

Normally the bed rail is a piece of wood with some sort of metal fastener on each end. Cut the rail to the desired length and reinstall the hardware.
