The first question is a review on the Jointech Fence Machine System for router tables, covering quality, ease of use, setup all the usual things?
The second question is how does the Jointech system compare to Dovetail jigs like the Leigh D4R for example? Is the jointech system a satisfactory substitute for a dedicated dovetail jig for quality of joints and ease of use?

Hi Carl,
We haven't published a review of dovetail jigs in the magazine so we can't speak to the quality or usability of the models you cite. Good news is, we are working on a review of dovetail jigs to be included in issue #187 which comes out mid-October. It will be available on the Web and in the magazine on Oct. 12.
I haven't seen the results from that review, but I do know that it did not include the Jointech. It does review the Leigh.
I know from personal experience that the Leigh is easy to set up and use once you get the hang of it. However, word from our test facilities is that there are a few other manufacturers catching up to Leigh.
Your best bet is to post this question in Knots to find out what the general consensus is among any woodworkers who have that jig. Knots has thousands of participants so I would imagine someone in the forums will have experience with it.
Sorry I couldn't be of more help.
