Gardang, it sure looks sweet- lots of machine there for the price plus some refinements too. If I spied that in a shop window or at an exhibition I would stop to examine it further, for sure.
The only drawback I see so far is the fact that the tables have to be lifted to convert to thicknessing- this is painfull and also the chip collection then may not be up to par. Others that I know of (British) do not require the lifting of tables, spring assisted or not, and work just fine, so one wanders why they do this?
Are we supposed to believe that maximum cut for the jointer is only 1/8th"?
John,
I used a combo planer/jointer for about 10 years when space was severely restricted. The idea is basically a good one, and I wouldn't be surprised if this machine becomes a very hot item. I'm just amazed every time anew when the US market "discovers" what's been available in Europe for 50 years or more. (My combo was a 1940's vintage 24" wide Austrian monster. I still use it as a jointer only)

What do you mean about time?? European combos have been available in the states for many years. It's the beginning of the lower priced asian clones. Funny how people bash the asians for copying stuff but I'll bet anything it's someone in the states who initiates the copying.
