I think I read about this somewhere but since I’m not at home I’ll ask here. I seem to be getting some light scalloping when I run my boards over the jointer. Would this be technique or blade alignment? Any help would be appreciated.

Several variables to consider when using the jointer. All the blades should be aligned to the exact same height so one blade isn't digging in to far each time it comes around. If you are satisfied with the blade alignments then examine your feed rate. The faster you feed the wood the longer the distance between the cuts of the blades. This is pronounced when you only have two blades doing the work. If the blades are aligned and you feed the work slow then your surface should be smooth.
You might check the sharpness of the cutters as well. The duller they are, the slower you need to move the wood. Good equal pressure after the cutterhead is what I use, at least after the first pass.
