I use an old Inca jointer/planer combo that I bought back in the '70s. If I were in the market now, I'd probably go for the Delta, but the Griz would be a close second.
Are you unhappy with the Inca in any way? I have a 10"-er in my garage being stored that I don't really have room for in the shop. I picked it up because it was a good deal and the jointer is 10" wide. I haven't set it up and made any test cuts yet. I'm not trying to sell the Inca, I'm just curious on your take.
If your's is also a combo, we may have the same model. I've been quite pleased with mine, although it hasn't seen heavy commercial-level use. The only issue I've had is that the drive belt for the planer feed is a little wimpy. Mine gave out after only 30 years. ;-)
The relatively short bed of the Inca might be an issue for some, but I've found it convenient, since I don't typically work with long stock. I did, however, get the bed extension for the jointer when I bought it, which extends it out to about 6 feet. Never had occasion to use it, however.
Eagle Tools in Los Angeles has parts.
I have a King Industrial 8"
I have a King Industrial 8" 2HP. It is a lot of iron to have in a small shop. As Chris noted, the rack and pinion fence adjustment is a big waste of space.
If I had to do it over again I would invest in a good planer and build a sled, or spend some time with big hand plane. If you select your wood carefully, there should not be a lot of need to surface the first face by machine.
If you don't have a planer yet, give some thought to the combination machines. One machine, one set of knives one dust port.

DJ-20 or Steel City 8"
DJ-20 or Steel City 8" granite? Does anyone know of supply / production issues with Steel City as of late. I finally have the go ahead to buy a new jointer and was going to buy the SC 8" / granite w/ helical cutterhead - $1,349 Can or $1,149 with 3 knives. The DJ -20 is going for about $1,650 Can so the price of the SC was were I wanted to be as well.
There are no 8" SC jointes to be seen in Western Canada and wondered if this was the same in the US?
