I’m sure we’ve all been through this. But I just had to share my latest glue up. It was 7:20 AM this past Saturday and I just had to finish one last glue up on a printer stand that I’m building before heading out for a bike ride.
I figure, when I get back in 4-5 hours it’ll be set and I can move on to the next step. 7:30 AM rolls around and my two cycling buddies are waiting in front of my shop. There I am in bib cycling shorts and jersey… Just one last glue up and we can leave! LOL!

This girl would have been long gone and the glue up would have waited till Monday!
Of course I'm in the shop all week and the bicycle beckons on Saturday mornings, besides riding with the boys is just too fun to keep them waiting.

Cool that you have your priorities straight! Of course, some of us hobbyist woodworkers are always just squeezing in time in the wood shop whenever we can.
I used to be bad for doing small jobs that will "just take a minute" before I would go out. Inevitably, It would take 10 minutes too long and I'd get finish, glue, or sawdust on my clothes.
EDIT: Flying along on my mountain bike is my idea of cleaning the dust off of my work clothes.

You should have "Huckleberried" your friends into "helping" with the glue-up. " 'It will go faster if you help,' he kept saying for the hour that we were there, getting glue up to our elbows." ;-)
Wouldn't that be "Sawyered"?

Perhaps, but the objective is to get the job Finn-ished. ;-)
Jointer,
You look really good with glue wipe offs on the back of those Castellis.... The fashion police on Palomares canyon, or at the quickie mart in Sunol are definately gonna object to those crusties.... No girl, is ever gonna ride behid your wheel like that, just what on earth are you thinking. Always Always wear your shop apron over your spandex!
Later Morgan
who will be riding Napa again this August 15th!
