When I signed up for FWW, the online digital library was part of the deal… it’s been a few years now. Today, I cannot access it, and there seems to be very little I CAN access with my annual subscription. Could anyone expand on that question? I am not too far from canceling my FWW subscription… I cannot read diddly on a phone, where I do most of my reading as I relax after work. I spend all day on a computer; I don’t want to sit in front of it after work, too.

I'm not sure I understand the problem you are having. Are you saying you want to read the digital version of the magazine on your phone but are unable to? If that is the case, and I just confirmed I could on my Note 8, although it did have long load times, it could be something to do with your phone or it may be as simple as needing to log in again as I do from time to time.
I can't keep track of what's what, but my understanding is the original annual subscription gives you just the individual magazine issues you paid for with the subscription. To get the entire archive and other things requires the Unlimited subscription.
I have a hard time understanding the point of these posts with inflammatory titles that are ultimately due to user error. There are better ways of asking for help if that is what you need, but posts like this just make the OP seem infantile.
Tru dat. Maybe we could start a fund that paid for complainant’s subscriptions in return for forum silence that they’re not worth it.
I'm certain this is common knowledge, but what is "tru dat"?
Literally "true that"; I agree with that thing you just said.

See my clarification below. You really should delete your last sentence; it makes you look bad.
It’s a code 18.
Several posts today without actual questions, here and in other threads. SMH
I typically access Fine Woodworking content on an iPad, and have the unlimited subscription which I believe is needed to access all online content. I can access all past issues just as on my computer, but it can be a little confusing as articles still have a “members only” and “subscribe” icon by them. Ignore these and click on the title of the article and it opens up. At least it does for me.
I’m a bit surprised and disheartened by the tone of certain complaints. I think it is clear that the folks at Fine Woodworking do their best to deliver quality content. Things will inevitably go wrong, or need refinement over time, that is just how life goes. I’d like to think a group of adults interested in a common goal could approach minor problems in the grand scheme in a calm and civil manner.
Let me restate my issue more clearly. This is NOT USER ERROR.
FIRST: I signed up a few years ago. Digital-only. All back issues, etc. but digital only.
SECOND: When I say I cannot read it on my phone, I mean the articles are in their original PAGE format. That makes it almost impossible to read on a phone. Think: SCROLLING back and forth for each and every sentence.
This is not a " random complaint" post. This was expressing a valid issue. I have since canceled my subscription. I have subscriptions to other Wood Magazines, and they "read" my device as small mobile as I access the site, and they reformat the content to allow me to read top to bottom, without having to scroll back and forth for every single line of text.
I understand some of you folks use larger screens, and so your responses above reflect that perspective. There are OTHER perspectives... free your mind and the rest will follow.

I would suggest you install Acrobat Reader on your phone to download and view the PDFs. There is a reader mode, Liquid, that will reflow the articles so you don’t need to swipe back and forth. It works pretty well and makes phone browsing tolerable. Even better is getting a tablet like an iPad, but sometimes all we have is a dinky phone.
I don’t think it’s fair to expect FW to recreate every article as a custom page that automatically adapts to every device. If the content originated as html that would be easy, but given it was created for print I think the PDFs are a good compromise considering tools like Acrobat will do what you are asking.
Since the OP apparently canceled his subscription it is highly unlikely he will ever read this. Hopefully this will be the last post in this thread and it dies a quick death.
Amen!
Must say, I just cancelled my subscription too! No longer worth the high price.
Bye.
It is still worth it to me. You get tons of information from great crafts-persons, how to videos from the same, inspiration, advice, a place to learn and get feedback, and ideas on how to grow as a woodworker and designer. You get the best reviews on tools, and all of this covers every kind of woodworking from basic hand tools to tools of the most advanced technology. If the most advanced stuff isn't within your budget or interest, you can learn of other alternatives most of the time. You get ideas of what hand tools to use to get the most of your machines. I could go on, but it's worth it to me. You have to take the time to read and study the whole library before you jump to conclusions. Maybe that's the problem some people have, but as in most areas we have to do our homework and practice.
