Hey, just thought I’d pass alone a sale I stumbeled on. Woodcraft has Bessey clamps on sale. The best deal is the 24″ and 40″. The 24 is 21.59 and the 40 is 26.99 (40% disc). I picked up two of the 24’s and plan on going back for some of the 40’s.
I don’t work for Wood craft, but do give them a lot of my money.

bones,
doesn't look like that's the case online. Is this just at your local store? If so, where is your local store?
Tim
It's in the Oct flyer that's just coming out. I'm pretty sure it's company wide, but could be wrong. The owner told me that woodcraft placed a monster order for clamps with Bessey. He said he had to place a very large order to qualify for the pricing. He went ahead and let me have them. I'll double check today, because I'm going back for some more. Have to slip them in a few at a time if you know what I mean. I'll check and let you know. The owner indicated the price would be good through the end of Oct.
Ok, I just checked. The sale is company wide, and will begin on 10/1 officially. Customers service said the website should have the new prices up this week-end. It's one heck of a deal. Sorry if by posting this I cause any pocket book stress. Take care.
Just a heads up - this isn't an exclusive sale...
You'll hear from us as well, and probably Amazon and Rockler too...
By all means - support your local retailers... but there shouldn't be a pressing need to act quickly...
Cheers -
Rob
Ah, good to hear Rob. I suspect everyone's shipping dept. will be fairly busy with clamps then? :)
Any additional 'sales' that may coincide to entice addn'l purchases?
Cheers,
michael
Cool. When you say you will hear from us as well, who do you mean? What is your company? Will you be doing better? Just passing along information. They don't call it the information highway for nothing. I do buy from local suppliers where I can, and online is next.

Bones,
Rob is one of the most involved retailers in woodworking today as Lee Valley is his company. Their commitment to the community and the trade is second to none and their customer service reflects their business.
Local is one thing, but a lot of 'local' is a very large chain or franchise.
I think you'll find that their prices are competitive and their service 2nd to none.
Sorry, didn't mean to sound confrontational... just providing information.
michael
A franchise is a local business in most ways -- the employees (and usually the owners) live and shop in the local area. When it comes to ordering on-line, I'll go to Lee Valley above Woodcraft (or Rocker, ugh) every time, but when shopping "locally" I vote with my dollar and support Woodcraft because their employees -- Seattle store -- at least know something about what they're doing, whereas most of the alternatives don't seem to.forestgirl -- you can take the girl out of the forest, but you can't take the forest out of the girl ;-)Another proud member of the "I Rocked With ToolDoc Club" .... :>)
Ah... true FG. Sorry, I wrote that incorrectly. Franchises are indeed local investments (generally) Chains aren't franchises.

No problem, I didn't take it that way. Hey, we're all in this to get more for less, right!
God, I love capitalism!!!!
Hi Rob, thanks for the heads-up. This sale sounds very similar to the Jorgenson CabinetMaster sale of a couple years ago. I'm glad to hear we don't need to be poised over our keyboards at midnight for this one!forestgirl -- you can take the girl out of the forest, but you can't take the forest out of the girl ;-)Another proud member of the "I Rocked With ToolDoc Club" .... :>)
OK, the Lee Valley package is up and running:

Sale prices are at the bottom of the page. These are 4-pieces sets at yummy prices!
