I ordered my plans for a 20 foot tandem canoe from Guillemot Kayaks. http://www.guillemot-kayaks.com/
The plans arrived with a book on construction tips. The quality was absolutely excellent. I realized that the kayak would not fit in my garage if I built the 20' model, and the owner, Nick Schade, was really cool about letting me exchange the unused plans for a 14' single seat model. He didn't even make fun of me for the dumb error.
So far I have traced the plans for my 14" Great Auk, and cut out the plywood Ribs. I still need to cut my strongback. Anyhow, my experience with Nick Schade was very pleasant and based on my limited experience I would recommend his company.
Thank you for the info.
