Hi All,
I have an older and discontinued Grizzly 15″ bandsaw, the compact type with three wheels mdl# G-1015, in bad need of tires. Old ones are completely shot. Grizzly does not have any parts for the model and most tire suppliers do not stock for the non-standard 6.5″ diameter wheels. Does anyone have any ideas? Does someone make custom tires, or does this old otherwise fine tool need to be retired (little unintended play on words there.)
Many thanks for any thoughts.

I had a neighbor give me a 1937 Boice Crane Bandsaw and it didn't have decent rubber.
In Jax we have a place that actually sells 'all things rubber' so I got them to sell me some 1" x about five feet of 1/4" rubber. I took some contact cement and stuck 'em down. where the ends meet, double cut it like carpet or vinyl flooring and it'll fit fine.
best I could find.
Hey Pete,
Thanks. That sounds like the route I'll have to take. I just bought the unit for cheap and figured I'd able to retire it, one way or another. Running it now without tires knowing that the blade will suffer but seems to tracks okay.

Check with your local truck-stop mechanic. You might be able to get a scrap of 6" rubber hose that you can stretch over the wheels.
A "farm-n-home" type store might be worth a shot too.

http://www.carterproducts.com or Iturra, they advertise in the hobby mags. They will sell you tires.
