When looking for replacement knives for my Delta DJ-20 jointer, I’m finding the ones at WKW and CGG Schmidt to be 3/32 thick. The ones that came with the jointer are over 1/8? Does it matter?

Why not just go with the OEM replacements? Just curious but how did you get the others to the point that they need replacing? I don't remember that model of jointer being available very long.
Like many things, I figured that even better knives might be available after market. I was jointing a board that had a nail embedded in it. This has causedme to tihnk I want to have two sets; one in the machine and another spare set, so I can have a set at the sharpener and still keep working...
You can shift the damaged blade and one of the others if you need to use it immediately, too. That way, you won't have a ridge on the board. If you have a good sharpening service near you, ask if they sell knives. My guess is that they do.
"I cut this piece four times and it's still too short."
Unfortunately, the nail was parrallel to the blade and trashed it in enough places that shifting won't work.
I would stick with using 1/8 thick knives, they are commonly available. If you have a local sharpening service they should be able to supply them. Grizzly sells a set of three, 1/8 inch thick, for $79.95.

Stick with the same thickness. WKW has all sizes.
