I recently bought a 15 inch planner off of e-bay, It has a Kings crown on the tags. It was made in Taiwan. I searched the internet and found a King woodworking in Canada but I’m not sure its the same as what I’m looking for. Can anyone tell me where I can get hold of the company so I can get a manual and another set of blades for it. Thanks Pat

If its the King from canada, is it King Industrial, or King Canada? (both made by the same company, but of different quality. what does the label look like? what colour is it?

Here is a pic of my King planner and DC. If they are one in the same let me know I have a good source for blades and I also have a pdf copy of the manual.

Scott, Thanks for the help, mine doesn't look like that. The motor is on top of the planner, unless mine is a older one because on the serial tag is stamped 1985. I sent gecko more info if that helps. Thanks again for your help. patk
hmmm
well, it doesnt sound much like the King's i know. although if its from 1985 it could be. you might get more information by sending King Canada a photo and the info youve given us. they could at least tell you if they made it i would think. if you go to a local King dealer, they might help too. good luck!

gecko-Thanks for you reply, it is metallic gray in color. The plate with the serial #s on has a kings crown with king printed where the headband is. There is no other manufacturing labels on it other than 15" Planner. The tag has 1985 stamped on it and the model # is yhp-150, the catalogue # is 1199-218. I don't know if any of this will help or not. Thanks for trying. patb
Yhp-150 planer
I think I have this model...just pulled it apart but here's a picture of it before...a heavy beast! To the right of the blue chair.
i have a manual...but not as detailed as I would have hoped. Mine says woodsmith on the side.
