I have made a queen bed and my wife would like a king size instead. Most plans in FWW and what I have are based on queen sizes. Is there a simple way to adjust / scale the plans? Even in FWW 268 Michael Cullen’s Contemporary Arts and Crafts Bed the plan is for a queen and in the article he says “This bed frame is designed for a queen size mattress and box spring, but you can adjust the dimensions to suit any mattress”.
Just looking for the best way to adjust the dimensions and any other recommendations on scaling a bed frame up. Thanks

The lengths of standard king and queen mattresses are the same, 80 inches. The width of a queen is 60 and for a king is 76. In theory, scale your width up by 16 inches and you are good to go.
If it were me, I would pick out the exact mattress you want and measure before you start cutting wood.
