I can’t use laquer cause the smell in the basement in winter is too bad.
I have been brushing 2 coats of Defthane Poly and aersol spraying the last coat. Looks fine but takes sooooo long for each door. I have 35 doors to do yet.
What do you recommend as being the best for protection ,ease of applying, and smooth nice finish when done. I don’t care if it’s gloss or satin.
Thanks a bunch,
Don

Don,
Why don't you use brushing lacquer? You will have none of the overspray air contamination problems of spraying and the odor will last much less than you're already getting from the varnish as it cures.
I assume you have SOME means of ventillating your work area. Since you can tolerate the odor of spraying the last coat of the varnish, you certainly should be able to deal with a brushing lacquer's air contamination. And you'll be done in days, not weeks.
