I am building a new home and am planning on building the kitchen cabinets. I am looking for a good reference book on planning & construction. I have built several bookcases & built-ins, fireplace fronts and enjoy detailed trim carpentry. This kitchen is a much larger job and want to be prepared. Any good books or articles that anyone has read that would be helpful?

Building Traditional Kitchen Cabinets by Jim Tolpin is very informative
thabks , I found it on amazon, I'll give it a look
Try Kitchen Cabs by Paul Levine
Building Your Own Kitchen Cabinets by Jere Cary is an excellent reference. it is a Taunton/FW book- a tad dated in some respects (in particular it predates the now ubiquitous biscuit joiner) but great for dimensions, countertops, installation, etc with hundreds of drawings.

Is this for traditional frame face cabinets of for european style open frame/framless construction? The only books I've seen are for traditional face frame construction and I'd like to build some frameless.
thanks
Cary's book is primarily geared toward face-frame construction, but in my (admittedly limited) experience, there's not a whole lot of difference (which i know is going to bring comments from those with stronger credentials in the field) in the two types.
the main thing i've found is that without a face-frame you really need to make sure your panel stock is FLAT and everything is SQUARE. you can't hide slight bows and warps behind the face-frame. try using some internal bracing like fixed shelves wherever possible to control this. also, if your cabinet side panel stock has a slight bow to it, mate it to its opposite so that they are screwed together when installed and will cancel the bend in each other. )( or ()
