Kitchen ext hood and dust ext
Would this work?
We have had a new kitchen and I thought I may be able to use the old kitchen extractor hood with my dust extractor together to clean my garage work shop at the end of the day.
My question is would it work
Suspend the old kitchen extractor fan from the ceiling of my garage .Connect the kitchen extractor fan to my dust extractor by a length of 4 inch hose ,switch both the kitchen extractor fan and the dust extractor on together
Further would it make sense to keep the filter in the kitchen extractor or simply remove it

What is the CFM rating on the DC and how about the hood ?
my guess the DC has a much higher capacity then the hood , therefore the DC will over power the hood and the hood motor will not be effective imo .
You could simply hang the DC hose with the same results without the hood in the way .There are floor sweep fittings and others that may work for this application.
