Has anyone ordered this kit? If so is it any good? It is a neat looking clock but a lot of times these type of kits are not that good to use or the results are less than advertised especially for the cost of this one.

Just me so take what I say with a grain of salt. Maybe even throw some over your shoulder!
I have made two clocks from kits. I tried to remember where I got them but my brain came up empty.
I took a quick look at the kit/plans you wanted and for the price seems reasonable.
I only had one problem making my clocks (gifts for family members).. I want to finish a project to quickly.. A NO NO for a clock kit!
The following are just my take on making anything from plans. I do not normally do any project from plans but clocks are a different story. I wouldn't even know where to start without the plans.
1. You will need to be comfortable with, and better yet, skilled using a router.
2. If you tend to rush things. DON'T bother.
3. Do not expect it to keep perfect time. Even if everything is perfect. It's wood not metal... I think it's more for looks that a Atomic clock!
4. I saw 'The overhead pin router accessory' so that means you need a router table and will have to modify yours to mount the Pin Router arm. Assuming you have a router table now. I hope it is a Pin arm and not plans to make one. Lee Valley makes a nice Pin Router Arm if necessary.
5. Acquire the router bits needed to cut the parts.
All in all, I found it a very enjoyable experience once I got it in my brain to slow down and enjoy the process of doing it..
Charliez,
A few weeks ago I saw this demonstrated at a woodworking show and
thought you might find it of interest. Basically a set of plastic templates for your router that cut all the gears for the wooden clock. The clock was attractive and the advantage of this approach is you can make all the clocks you want from the template set.
