I am not very familiar with the exotic woods. But I have seen some posts in the the GALLERY of projects that used koa. I think it is a beautiful hardwood.
Is koa the same as Acacia wood. If they are different, what is acacia wood? Is it friendly to work with?
I work with a guy who has freind that would sell about 100 BFT of acacia to me for $12/BFT. Is this a good deal?
Thanks-

Thank you,

Koa is in the acacia family, and is often listed as koa, acacia that grows in Hawaii, however I have seen acacia listed that may have been from Africa or somewhere in the tropics. They looked almost identical in my sample packet anyway.
All that I have had was curly. don't you know that I just hate that.
I have not seen the price in quite a while.
