Hello all,
Looks like old boy got a dose of reality when no one bid on his JK original plane. He relisted the plane with a buy it now and it went like ice cream at an old folks home.

If he received three planes from the initial eBay auction like other posters had mentioned, he may be just wanting to get rid of all three of them at $450 a piece to get his money back.
mv,
I was thinking the same thing as well. I just found it ironic that he went from a starting bid of $1250 to a buy it now of $450. I had the previous auction saved in my favorites on ebay to watch the progress. When the owner re-listed the plane, ebay sent me an email letting me know the item was re-listed. By the time I got the email, the plane was already sold. So it didn't last long on the old auction block.

He's very very lucky he received three planes from Krenov.....
They have ebay blocked here at work, but it sounds like this gentleman chose a wiser approach to his auction. Good for him. Perhaps we'll get a chance to see the other two planes very soon since he said he needed the money to go back to school.

Ok, I looked at the pictures of the planes and realize that the J Krenov reputation is superb. But how many would buy that plane if they saw it at a Flea Market without the Krenov name attached ? Is it the provenance ?

I'm not going to touch that one with a 10 foot pole. Seems I got myself lambasted for some previous posts on the subject. Do a search on the archives and see what others had to say about it. It's a great read.
