Hello, I am going to be using a pre-cat lacquer sealer and finish for the first time on a couple of projects. There doesn’t seem to be a lot of info on the proper usage of pigments, or at least not that I have come across. I’ll add pigment to the top coat, but is it recommended to add pigment to the sealer? Are there pros and cons to doing this?
In case it makes a difference I’ll be using these products:
Mohawk pre-cat lacquer sealer
Mohawk pre-cat lacquer
Mohawk xpert colorants – titanium white
Thanks,
Tom

Has anyone colored their lacquer?
Hi,
I've tried it, but only out of curiosity. I used a Mixol red and Transtint Dye's red. My only caution is the color you mix in a container is usually lighter than the color you want. No secret there.
So be careful or you'll end up with a color you hate. Try, fail. Try again, fail better.
Good luck,
Mikaol
This works really well for us, thank you!
