Laguna F2 Table saw-quick review
I was on the forum a couple of weeks ago looking for input on this saw, which I finally got up and running so for those interested here are my initial impressions:
1) Laguna customer service was good-had an issue with a missing retaining ring and key on the handle to raise the blade. Laguna sent it our right away, called me back when they said they would and were generally very responsive.
2) The saw went together flawlessly-fit and finish is excellent.
3) Everything lined up-table is flat, blade and fence align. I had found older comments about the insert not being secured at the far end but they must have changed the design as no issue with my insert.
4) I wired this for 220 and seems to have plenty of power. Ripped through 3 X 3 maple with ease.
A couple of things I need to get used to:
1) While the fence is secure when locked down, I have to get used to no positive grip on the far end.
2) Saw seems to put out more dust than I thought-that maybe a function of the fact that I haven’t yet attached dust collection to the saw.
Overall I am please with the quality of the saw, and would recommend it. A big upgrade over my old Delta.
Thanks to all those who gave me input.

I'm not familiar with the Laguna F2 Table Saw, but it is my experience that machinery designed for dust collection really need a good dust collector capable to meet dust extraction requirements of the machine.
Check your user manual to see if the machine can be safely operated without dust collection. Dust trapped inside a machine can be a fire hazzard. Clean often for safety.

Dust also clogs up the works. Fine dust will get on drive belts, arbors and even into bearings.
With a table saw its bad enough but other machinery making lots of dust and shavings can also suffer. Many plane or thickness without dust extraction, for example, and find the results less than satisfactory because small piles of shavings come between the bed and the plank, destroying the precision of the machine.
Over the years I gradually discovered that it would have been best to start with a Huge Sucker. I went through a 1 hp, through 1.5 hp to an eventual 3 hp machine, only discovering with the big one (by comparison) how much dust the previous two left in the machine, the work shop and the atmosphere.

I have the Fusion 3 and every other week I open it up and vacuum the bottom. The stuff found down there is many chips not so much fine dust.
The main dust collection is via a 2.5" hose that is connected to a plastic shroud that its under the saw blade (I think other manufactures use a similar approach). I have wondered if removing this and solely having a 4" port at the bottom would make it better, but I assume that thought of this during designing the saw.
Great saw though. And I have no issues with the fence as I don't apply any pressure to the piece I am cutting beyond front end of blade/throat plate when cutting.
