   It's too new I believe. Weren't they just released or announced?

   Anyways, I avoid ALL products made in Tawain/China, Czech Republic, Malaysia, etc...

   If it's not from Germany, Switzerland or the US it's not allowed in my shop.

   Consider a Multi Router from the JDS Company unless you are doing long heavy stock. Then I would look for a used Griggio or Felder.

   See his reply to me, he's wealthy so he can afford to be a snob....  I too have a lot of money, (and my own companies), but I got it buy finding the best value no matter where it comes from.

   I am open to other options..please elaborate ..the JDS is out of the question at $2900 ( not including a dedicated router), and i am making some passage doors so might be to light as well. Everything else i have looked at from the countries you suggested were well beyond my means. Thanks in advance.

   Hi BigO,
   I have checked some sites like ExFactory, MLS Machinery, IRS Auctions(Not government related) and even woodweb and craigslist locally. Not much available at all in the lower price range.
   Woodworkers Supply of WY at one time sold a desktop 3 axis mortiser similar to the Multi Router but considerably less, it didn't look to bad. It even had the capability to make louvers.
   If it was not Sunday I would have called them for you. Their number is 800-645-9292.

   Woodworkers Supply still sells the Matchmaker or Wirth machine. The Laguna Platinum looks like a better option. Heavier duty and the lower rpm is better. I've tried the router mortisers and have been using commercial mortisers similar to  the Laguna for 25 years. It's nice to be able to use it as a doweling machine and horizontal borer. I've even milled aluminum. Two flute HSS endmills are long lasting and really inexpensive. In 25 years i've only seen 5 used slot mortisers.
