Hello,
I’m building a fireplace mantel and am stumped as to how to build the large Ogee section as shown in the attachment. It’s about a 4″ wide piece of molding. I tried investigating perhaps using a combination of bits to achieve this, but I can’t come up with any solutions that will be wide enough. I even took a look at shaper bits, but couldn’t find anything specific for this purpose. I have a 3hp router and table available to me. Any suggestions.
thanks

I replicated that profile by cheating and buying ready made molding - it's a combination of 3 pieces.
p.s. - the middle piece was a small crown molding - I think I had to trim off part of it.

That's a piece of crown, available in up to 12' lengths in the molding aisle of your local big box.
I rough out large moldings like this on the table saw and finish with various molding planes and scrapers.
