I recently purchased an atomstack A5 laser for engraving and small part cutting. I noticed that horizontal lines on the x axis skew a bit at the start and end of the line. Does anyone have any experience with this or know what might be causing it? Everything else seems to be fine and fonts/images are precise. I’m using lightburn software.

Hello,
The skewing of horizontal lines on your Atomstack A5 laser could be due to a few reasons. It might be related to the laser module swinging on the mount, possibly caused by the height adjuster bracket bending. Adjusting https://www.doglikesbest.com/ the speed and height of the laser module, as well as checking for any material warping or looseness in the mechanism, could help resolve the issue.
Post it on the Lightburn forum. I guarantee you'll get a rapid, good answer there.
Was listening to a recent podcast from Woodshop Life (Mar or likely April 2024). In it, Guy, from Guy's Workshop discussed how he looked at a lot of laser systems and sent many back due to issues similar to his. It's possible he has a YouTube video or blog about it as well.
