Well My lastest project is well under way and I think it is going all right. I am building a cross for our chapel here at the school and have just finished the bloodwood inlays. It is nothing extravagent but I think it looks pretty sharp. Here is a question. Will laquer adhere properly and look good over BLO? Or what would you suggest I use for a finish. IT is going to be handled a lot by a bunch of not so careful college students. Any suggestions??? I would like it to have some what of a shine so maybe Poly? I don’t know. I’m like the other guy who posted saying he gets nervous when it comes time to finish. Except I get neverous when it comes time to cut my first M/T joint. Anyways I suppose that the realitive calmness will come with age. So I hope.
God Bless all of you.

BLO wll pop the grain, and dewaxed shellac will seal your cross. Over that, anything will be fine.
