While hardly fine woodworking, I enjoy making just about anything and seem to learn something from the process as well. Here are two recent shop projects I thought I’d share for what they are worth. The first is a rolling cart that fits neatly under one end of my bench registering conveniently against the tail vise blocking for easy and precise placement. I’ve begun to outfit the insides of some fo the drawers and show some pics of the results so far. I find the cabinet useful both in place and to wheel elsewhere in the shop as I work on a given task.
The second project is a sawbench, made essentially on a plan included in Woodworking magazine. I used maple leftovers and some cherry scraps. I had fun practicing the wedged tenons.
Thanks for looking.

Very nice Samson! You have made some great looking shop tools. I like the rolling cart with that gives everything a place to reside. You have given me some great ideas to use up a lot of scrap cherry and maple.
Will you or do you use the saw saw bench very often?

Thanks.
I have a decent set of handsaws (Diston and Atkins mostly) and enjoy using them. I have an old "sawbench" that I made in about 20 minutes one evening ten or so years ago, and have been using that to this point. It worked, but man is it an ugly little bugger (like the scap bin self assembled into a ragged looking little table - dry wall screws etc.). I use my bandsaw, TS, and SCMS plenty, but if I have time - and on the right project, I like to use the handsaws to dimension, expecially for ripping. I also anticipate the hold down will come in handy for various tasks. We'll see.
My saws sitting quietly in their till waiting hopefully for a visit to the new saw bench:

Huh? How did all my saws end up in your shop? Please return them, and don't forget the saw till. ;-)
Have a great New Year!

That is a mighty fine looking set of workshop items. The saw horse looks like fine furntiure. I love that hold down. Rich
