   Hello,

   I really think that you need to elaborate on what you are going to use this lathe for: long spindles or pens, large bowls and platters or small dishes.when I was choosing my lathe i came across this website which really helped me and more importantly i saved about $300 and got the right lathe for me. the website below will tell you all you need to know and also what other tools you will have to consider buying if you want to go into the craft of woodturning. http://www.peterchild.co.uk/info1/startwt.htm
