I need your help, I am new to laying out dovetails. I have a peace of lumber I want to cut pins and tails, into it. It is 11 & 1/4 wide by 3/4. I don’t know how to lay it out. Can someone help me John Griffin St Lazare, Quebec

I'm sure you will get very good comments about technique. I strongly that you practice on scrap material before you tackle the prime item. A lot. Good luck.
First you'll need to turn that piece of lumber into two pieces of lumber! The easiest way to get started is with a guide block for your saw... I make my own, see the blog post at:

Are you talking about spacing, or marking out pins and tails?

Regarding layout, you'll find there are a few basic ways to layout:
1) by eye
2) dividers
3) ruler
