Just found this link over at WWA. Very creative conversion by Al Amaral of a leaf blower/vac to a dust collector, mostly for jointer or planer. Take a look! Also, his home page has links to other shop items he’s made such as a tablesaw blade guard.

My apologies if this has been posted before — don’t remember it.

Ooops, sorry, Woodworker's Website Assoc., part of Woodworker's Central, a great resource and fine group of guys and gals. Here's the link to the main page:http://www.woodworking.org/ on which you'll see WWA Info Exchange link, which is the "bulletin board." "Infeed/Outfeed" is the forum I participate in periodically. forestgirl -- you can take the girl out of the forest, but you can't take the forest out of the girl ;-)

HaHa. I think they (WWA) out to let us pick our own designation. They labelled me a Veteran right after my first post, if I remember correctly. Man, did that make me nervous! You're right though, special recognition is due, LOL! You 2 are sooooooo challenging!forestgirl -- you can take the girl out of the forest, but you can't take the forest out of the girl ;-)
thank you

Thanks for the post. I don't have time to get much farther than Knots in Cyber-World. I could get lost out there with my computer skills. ha..ha..
That is a clever idea as most leaf blowers have a reverse that turns it to vacuum. I can attest that a second stage to a single phase does make a world of difference. You don't have to clean out the main DC as often and it keeps the cfm higher much longer when that main DC bag is not full all the time.
Go for the clamps... he..he..

Makita BBX7600N 75.6 CC 4-Stroke Backpack Blower is the latest best leaf blower brand known to me so far.. It has padded shoulder straps and ventilated back panel with lumbar support for improved operator comfort. I am having this from past 6 months .. It is easy to start, not as loud as I thought it would be and very powerful too
